About Me
Making Yoga Accessible to Everyone
My yoga philosophy is to make yoga accessible to everyone.
Yoga should be inclusive so that as many people as possible can experience its many benefits physically and emotionally.
I’ve been practicing yoga since 2014 as a very inflexible runner. I fell in love with the physical, emotional and spiritual elements of yoga and quickly saw how beneficial it was to everyone.
I qualified as a Yoga teacher in Vinyasa flow in March 2018 (Yoga Alliance). My development as a yoga teacher has continued with qualifications with Teen Yoga Foundation, Yoga Nidra, Restorative yoga and specialist courses with National Autistic Society.
I commenced the PhD programme in October 2022, within the Faculty of Life Science and Education, you can find more information about this in the research section.
I have embraced the challenge of adapting my yoga teacher skills and registered nurse experience. I teach 'open' classes and have developed a yoga model ‘Yoga For Me’. This model is designed to allow teens and adults with learning disabilities to enjoy the benefits of a regular yoga practice.
I am able to offer individualised yoga instruction on a 1:1 or small group basis, office based classes or if you are interested in yoga for vulnerable adults and adults with learning disabilities, please contact me.
Face to face or online options are available.
